Network settings

Learn how to configure network settings from the local edge portal.

  • Port 1 is used for Internet connection to the cloud.
  • Port 2 is used for LAN connection to the machine network.

Configuration using the machine network port

The setup UI on the gateway allows network configuration during the first hour after boot.

  1. Connect a computer, either indirectly through a switch or directly with an ethernet cable to the second ethernet port (machine network) on gateway.

  2. Configure the IPv4 network adapter settings on the computer to match the same subnet as the machine network. For example if machine network on gateway is configured to 192.168.2.1 (default), configure computer to 192.168.2.2 with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0.

  3. Open chrome and browse the address 192.168.2.1/setup, or whatever the gateway has been configured with if changed from default.

  4. In the setup view it is possible to configure IP settings for both cloud and machine network, connect to a Wi-Fi and create a cellular connection (in case the automatic process of identifying an APN upon boot did not work).
